Vantage Review

CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Refer to PDS and TMD on our website. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

Vantage Markets (“Vantage FX,” or “Vantage”) rounds out its MetaTrader and TradingView platform suite offering with social trading platforms, a proprietary mobile app, and research content from in-house staff and third parties. While its educational and research content have improved considerably year over year, Vantage still trails industry leaders in both of these categories.

Vantage pros & cons

Pros

  • Collaborates with Bloomberg on research and video content.

Cons

  • Pro ECN account requires a $10,000 minimum deposit.
  • Trading Central tools require large deposit requirements to access.
  • Standard account spreads are underwhelming without $10,000+ deposit.

My top takeaways for Vantage in 2025:

  • Vantage has boosted its research content with a dedicated blog and collaboration with Bloomberg on video production, alongside a list of newsletters and daily updates from in-house staff.
  • Access to Pro Trader Tools powered by Trading Central requires a $200 deposit, while its Trading Edge + offering requires a $1,000 deposit and at least one new trade per month to retain access to the service.
  • Vantage holds indemnity insurance from Lloyd’s of London for additional protection in excess of any regulatory coverage, for up to $1m per claimant.

Vantage fees

Trading costs at Vantage depend on which account you open and on which specific Vantage entity holds your account. There are three account options at Vantage: the spread-only Standard STP account, and the commission-based Raw ECN and Pro ECN accounts. Overall, Vantage’s pricing falls mostly in line with the industry average, but can’t compete with pricing leaders SaxoIG, and CMC Markets.

Standard vs. Raw accounts comparison: Spreads on Vantage’s spread-only standard account are higher than its commission-based Raw ECN and Pro ECN accounts. For its Raw account, average spreads are typically low with a commission of $3 added per side ($6 per round turn), making it more affordable compared to the Standard account.

Pro ECN account: The Pro ECN account from Vantage has more competitive pricing than the Raw ECN Account, thanks to its lower per-side commission of just $2 (or $4 per round turn). The minimum deposit requirements for opening a Pro ECN account with Vantage fluctuate between its regulating entities, but is generally $10,000. Its Australian entity requires that you qualify to be categorized as a wholesale client. If you open your account under Vantage’s Cayman Islands entity, you must fund your account with at least $10,000. For those who can meet its various account requirements, the Pro ECN account is Vantage’s best-priced option, and is comparable to similar accounts offered by FP Markets and Tickmill.

Active traders: As part of its Vantage Club offering, new and existing users can earn V-Points which can be redeemed for various perks, including cash rebates as part of Vantage rewards. The active trader program from Vantage offers V-points ranging from 100 to as much as 250 points per million traded, available only on the ECN account (this includes free commission vouchers but these are capped at $10 each). It’s worth noting that you must manually opt-in to each tier. Conversely, there is a Premium account available as part of the Vantage Club offering, which doesn’t provide rebates but does offer discounted trading. For instance, the Premium Pro+ ECN account, offered by Vantage Plus, requires a $150,000 deposit and brings commissions to as low as $1.00 per lot on forex and gold.

Swap-free account: Vantage also offers a swap-free account in select jurisdictions for clients that require a Sharia-compliant account for religious purposes. In addition, a perpetual account is offered in select regions where you can trade unleveraged crypto CFDs, which can be held overnight without incurring carrying costs typically associated with leveraged CFD trading.

Mobile trading apps

Vantage offers its own proprietary trading app, alongside the standard MetaTrader and TradingView suite of mobile apps. Vantage has built a decent foundation for a new mobile trading application with its Vantage App. However, I am not a fan of the ads and, and it is still a long way off from competing with the best mobile apps in the industry.

Apps overview: Vantage offers three mobile apps: its proprietary Vantage App, TradingView, and the MetaTrader platform suite. TradingView, MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5), and Vantage mobile app come standard from their developer for iOS on Apple App Store and for Android on Google Play (except for Vantage mobile which is only available for iOS devices).

Ease of use: I found the advertisements within the Vantage app to be a distraction from the trading experience. I’d prefer to avoid ads and promotional content when using a mobile trading app. That being said, Vantage has done a good job of integrating research, with newsletter updates, signals, and multiple Trading Central-powered videos per day.

Charting: Charting at Vantage allows for only five time frames, one chart type, and just a handful of indicators and overlays. On the plus side, tapping on the chart launches it into a full-screen landscape view, which is a nice touch. In contrast, charting from a competitor like Plus500 comes with over 100 indicators and allows for the ability to use multiple indicators at the same time.

Trading platforms

Vantage distinguishes itself from other MetaTrader-only brokers by offering a diverse range of additional add-ons and by supporting the integration of compatible third-party platforms and tools, such as TradingView.

Platforms overview: Vantage is primarily a MetaTrader broker offering the full suite of desktop and web trading platforms, including MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5).

Charting: Besides the standard charts on MT4 and MT5, Vantage also offers TradingView, which is fully integrated and allows you to log in with your MetaTrader account.

Trading tools: For MetaTrader, Vantage offers the SmartTrader Tools from FX Blue LLP’s suite of platform add-ons. Also, forex news headlines stream directly from FxWire Pro and FxStreet, helping to round out Vantage’s impressive MetaTrader offering. Most recently, Vantage partnered with OneClickFX to offer a suite of plugins for MetaTrader if you deposit at least $500,and request to access the service.

Copy trading: In addition to the Signals market on MetaTrader, Vantage offers three platforms for social copy trading. The auto-trading platform trio includes DupliTrade, and Myfxbook’s AutoTrade (although these are not available in Australia), alongside its own called Vantage Copy Trading offering which boasts over 71,000 signal providers.

Research

Vantage’s research is sourced primarily from third-party content providers such as Trading Central, alongside its own in-house production which has grown considerably year over year. Considering the quality and depth of research that is made available by the best forex brokers such as IGSaxo, and CMC Markets, Vantage has narrowed the gap yet still has further room to improve in the research category. That said, I am still pleased to see how much Vantage has improved its research over the last 12 months.

Research overview: Vantage publishes daily market updates to its dedicated YouTube Channel, alongside occasional videos produced by in-house staff. These updates are mostly powered by Trading Central, and I found them to be just OK.

Steven’s take:

“My only gripe with their video content is that they are highly-templated, and feature pre-recorded pieces that repeat across every video. Meanwhile, webinars have helped round out Vantage’s offering, alongside additional content on its Vantage View blog which include videos produced in collaboration with Bloomberg.”

Steven Hatzakis

Market news and analysis: In addition to the suite of modules from Trading Central as part of Vantage’s ProTrader Tools, additional tools were added into the client portal including Trading Edge+, reports from Autochartist, and sentiment widgets from TradingView. Trading Edge+ features AI-powered content and research, including themed newsletters.

Education

Vantage offers a growing selection of educational resources for traders, bringing it closer towards the industry standard and aligned with brokers that make education a priority, such as IG or AvaTrade.

Learning center: Vantage’s Learn Forex Trading section features 37 expandable educational points, though I found them to be rudimentary. In addition to platform tutorials, Vantage provides a library of over 130 videos developed by Trading Central as part of its Pro Trader series. Content ranges from short introductory clips for beginners to longer videos featuring advanced forex and CFD concepts across various markets – including cryptocurrencies. I found many of these videos produced by Trading Central useful. In addition, webinars and dedicated courses and articles have been introduced to help round out its educational offering.

Vantage’s educational forex course quizzes, structured for newer traders.

Video content: Vantage has multiple YouTube channels, each with hundreds of videos that are helpfully organized in dedicated playlists. Vantage produces and uploads several webinars per week, including its “Masterclass” videos that cover a range of trading topics.

Room for improvement: While I was pleased to see the addition of quizzes in dedicated courses, including for forex, these courses and accompanying quizzes are very basic. Going deeper into subject matter and adding more courses to cater to traders of varying experience levels would further boost Vantage’s offering in the education category.

Final thought

Vantage distinguishes itself from other MetaTrader brokers by offering competitive pricing on its commission-based Raw ECN account and by supporting the integration of additional platforms, including for copy trading. It also offers its own proprietary Vantage app, which – despite the added distraction of in-app ads – shows good promise for mobile trading.

While the broker’s research and educational offerings made significant progress in 2025, Vantage continues to have room to further improve to compete with the best brokers in those categories.
